CEPD N.V. is one of Europe’s leading pharmacy groups, offering a broad range of Patient care services through both brick-and-mortar and online pharmacies.

CEPD is an experienced and knowledgeable healthcare actor in Europe, with a distinctive know-how and solid foundations. The company was incorporated in the Netherlands in 2008, and has its headquarters in Breukelen, near Amsterdam. CEPD is part of the Pelion Group, the largest healthcare company in Poland and Lithuania. CEPD operates accross Poland, Lithuania, Sweden, Spain, France, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, Portugal, and Belgium.

CEPD has more than 25 years of experience in the retail pharmaceutical market. Company ethos dictates exceptional pharmaceutical care whilst providing extensive experience with e−commerce. The company’s priority is to ensure the highest standards of Patient care and to meet their needs.

Holds degrees in economics and an MBA with executive training at top business schools.
Joined DOZ in 2017 and oversaw its restructuring and omnichannel initiatives, which earned multiple Great Place to Work awards.

Karine Poindessault

Karine Poindessault

Chief Administration Officer (CAO)

Holds a master’s in business and corporate law and has more than 20 years’ experience as an in‑house corporate lawyer.
She joined CEPD in 2011 to establish the Amsterdam office and now oversees operations, corporate governance and administrative functions.

Khai Tan

Executive Officer

Holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business and finance and brings over 35 years of experience in finance, investment and M&A.
At CEPD he advises on investment decisions and capital structure.

Jeroen Slop

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Economics and accountancy graduate and former CFO of AFC Ajax (1998–2019).
Provides financial oversight, risk management and operational discipline.

Jakub Szwajcowski

Chief Operation Officer (COO)

Holds management degrees from the University of Warwick and the London School of Economics and began his career at Bain & Company.
As COO he coordinates execution across CEPD’s businesses and drives innovation.

Lawyer with a doctorate in law and former CEO of Celesio AG (2000–2011).
Chairs the board and brings extensive governance experience; he also serves on other supervisory boards and has been honorary British consul in Stuttgart since 2006.

NON-Executive Director, Vice-Chair

Co‑founder and long‑time CEO of Pelion; mechanical engineering graduate with executive education at Harvard, Stanford, Wharton, Oxford and INSEAD.
Chairs the Pelion Philanthropy Foundation, founded a pharmacy museum in Łódź and supports CEPD as vice‑chair.

Non-Executive Director

Co‑founder of Pelion and vice‑president responsible for distribution and supply chain; an electrical engineer with over 35 years of experience in healthcare industry.

Mariola Belina-Prażmowska

Mariola Belina-Prażmowska

Non-Executive Director

Vice‑president of Pelion responsible for development and strategic projects; economics graduate and certified auditor.
Formerly at Deloitte Audit; leads shared services and e‑commerce initiatives and sits on multiple supervisory boards.

Joined Pelion in 1997 after studying economics and finance and later served as CFO of Polska Grupa Farmaceutyczna.
Brings deep finance, treasury and reporting experience to the board.

Marketing and management graduate who has led Pelion’s digital and e‑commerce businesses for the past decade.
Oversees CEPD.TECH and drives digitalisation, e‑commerce and AI innovation across the Group.

Alejandro Weinstein

Non Executive-Director

Global investor and entrepreneur active in the healthcare, biotechnology, and sustainable technology sectors. He has developed and managed companies and startups in the healthcare sector in Europe, America, and South East Asia.

CEPD N.V. was established in the Netherlands. During the same year the company acquired Polish pharmacy chain DOZ S.A., DOZ UK Ltd. in the United Kingdom and a 50% stake in UAB NFG in Lithuania.

CEPD increased its stake in UAB NFG to 100%, and the previous owners continued managing the Lithuanian business.

10th Anniversary

10th Anniversary

On 21 November 2018 CEPD celebrated its tenth anniversary with the participation of President Lech Wałęsa at a celebration in Amsterdam.

Expansion to Sweden

On 31 May 2021 CEPD became the owner of the Swedish pharmacy chain Lloyds Apotek through the acquisition of all shares in Admenta Sweden AB, reinforcing the Group’s geographic footprint.

In autumn 2022 the Lloyds Apotek chain rebranded to DOZ Apotek.

Portfolio optimisation and headquarters relocation

As part of continous portfolio optimisation, CEPD divested its Natura drugstore business. In the same year the company relocated its headquarters from Amsterdam to Breukelen.

Investment in DocMorris AG

Pelion S.A. and CEPD N.V. became investors in DocMorris AG, a leading company in the online pharmacy, marketplace and professional healthcare sector.

Atida
2026
Atida joins CEPD

Atida, the multi-national online pharmacy operating across Spain, France, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, Portugal, and Belgium, joins CEPD. The combined group offers a broad and complementary range of pharmacy services, available both online and in-store.
