The global business certification for gender equality for CEPD N.V.

As the first company in Poland and Central – East Europe, CEPD N.V. has been granted the Global Business Certification for Gender Equality. The Certificates are granted by Gender Equality Project (GEP) by World Economic Forum in Davos. CEPD N.V. has been granted the certificate on the Polish market.

CEPD N.V. has joined the global society of companies engaged in strengthening equal opportunities for women and men at work. This initiative was a special project run by the Swiss GEP Foundation. This involved a three-step process of verification of a company’s attitude to business equality along with a complex audit.
The aim of activities of the Foundation is creation and popularization of the best business gender equality practices all over the world. Due to the granted certificate, CEPD N.V. has become the first ambassador of the Foundation’s idea in Poland.
Granting Gender Equality Certificate is a great honor to us. However, this is also an obligation to work even harder in scope of promoting equal business opportunities for both women and men. This is of particular importance for our organization where a vast majority of the staff are women – says Roni Drori, President of the Board of CEPD N.V.
During this three-step process, the data on employment has been analyzed. The first stage was to provide the data to the Foundation for verification, the second one – anonymous questionnaire amongst employees which were further given to the auditing institution. The last element of the verification was a internal audit run directly in the company’s registered office by a representative of the Foundation.
According to President Drori, companies that eliminate differences in pay, training, promotion and career development paths, gain employees’ trust and satisfaction easier.

Apart from CEPD N.V., the Global Business Certification for Gender Equality has been granted to: Banco Compartamos Mexico, Deloitte Switzerland and IKEA Switzerland as well as L’Oréal in eight countries. Further dozens companies are now in the process of certification.
